There might be more stuff to do and pay attention to while playing melee classes, it might few weightier. With my experience as a sorcerer, I’d say the combat feels alright. The times they dont (on background details, such as snow/dirt, house decorations/interiors, etc) I blame on the Medium texture setting bug, which I believe will be fixed soon The world and characters look very good most of the time. Absolutely no frame drops whatsoever in combat, even during events with 15-20 enemies on the screen at the same time Instanced Dungeons feel like a top-notch hack’n’slash, worth of the Diablo name, and I can see them being a very fun challenge for a while, specially in endgame The game makes for a very strong and positive first-impression for the first 1-2 hours Explored everything on the tutorial areas and dungeons, talked to all prologue NPCs, read everything there was to read, and did this a bit around Kyovashad as well (Main city hub), in the surrounding areas, before quitting to write this, but did not experience the whole available content. Played on 4k Max settings, except for Textures which mas maxed at Medium for whatever reason, without any option to change higher, which is apparently a common bug.Ībout this review: Played for about 6 to 7 hours as a Sorcerer, got to level 15. Test Machine: 4k monitor, RTX3080, i7-9700KF, 16GB RAM, SATA-SSD. This is my first time playing any of the Diablo 4 Betas, but I’ve watched pretty much all footage available since the Blizzon reveal, official and leaked. Mainly for the great combat and the atmosphere/game tone, which do not match with the “overcrowded open world overworld” they created to place it all in.Ībout me: I’ve played pretty much all “great/cult classic” ARPGs/hack’n’slashes Dungeon Siege, Titan Quest, Throne of Darkness, Diablo 1/2, Mu Online and whatever else they inspired after (good and bad) Grim Dawn, Path of Exile, Diablo 3, Last Epoch, Lost Ark, Torchlight(s), Mu Legends, etc. This game is a conflicting package of really clever ideas, concepts and systems mixed with other completely opposing ideas and designs.
